Chapter 15 verse 8
“As the air carries fragrance from place to place, so does the embodied soul carry the mind and senses with it, when it leaves an old body and enters a new one.”
Bhagwan
answers the question of what happens to the mind and intellect after the body
perishes. The individual soul, which is independent of the body, mind, intellect
and ego takes the mind along with its past, present impressions to the next
life just like air carries fragrances from one place to another. This is why
past impressions of the soul are called vasanas or fragrances in Sanskrit. This
again confirms the concept or truth of multiple births and laws of karma in
sanatana dharma.
