Chapter 4 verse 38
“Certainly, there is no purifier in this world like
Knowledge. He, who is himself perfected in yoga finds it in the Self in time”
Yoga is a generic word which stresses on the union of
body, mind, intellect and consciousness. When the body, mind, intellect merge
into supreme consciousness and acts in unison, Self Knowledge occurs. In this
verse, Krishna focuses on Yoga of Knowledge or jnana yoga. One usually starts
doing action, graduates to surrendering all actions to the divine and through
this meditative state of action, gains faith and devotion to the supreme
thereby gaining the ultimate Knowledge of Self. This method is time tested and
history is testimony to multiple real life examples of this beautiful journey
of the discovery of the Self by the self.
