Chapter 13 verse 31
“When they see the diverse variety of living beings situated in the same material nature, and understand all of them to be born from it, they attain the realization of Brahman.”
We
learn from everything and everybody in nature. We can learn so much from our
Gurus and great people from the past. For example, Ramana Maharishi had so much
compassion for all beings that he saw God in every one of them. In fact he
declared that a dog and cow which were always around him attained enlightenment
after their death and there is a small shrine in Ramana Maharishi’s ashram at
Thiruvannamalai for these animals. Trees have always been worshipped in India.
Remembering our tradition of treating all beings as embodiment of God is a
direct teaching of Bhagwan Shri Krishna and “Love All, Serve All” is the
message in this sloka.
